Felt not supported
September 23, 2024
When I joined i was added to WhatsApp group, this group is full of admin business not support. I cried out a few times saying I needed to talk to someone, and was advised crisis line or a walk?!! Sometimes you just want to talk to someone going through what you are going through, is this not what alanon is for beyond the ten steps? I felt at the meetings the business was more important. I never went back.

I was on my knees after my 9 year relationship with an alcoholic. I had never heard of Al-Anon but an AA member told me. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself EVER!

Living with or having lived with alcoholism is too much for most of us. The support and help I’ve found in the Al-Anon Woodbridge group is amazing and I feel better each time I go there.
life is unrecognizable AlAnon saved my life.

It's a simple program for complicated people whose lives have been adversely affected due to somebody else's drinking. I attend Woodbridge meeting on Mondays and Colchester Thursday Prettygate and it has been so helpful to me to recover from a terrible experience with a partner who is an alcoholic. I was on my knees, emotionally spiritually and physically. Now I'm living life happily having learnt a lot about myself. I cannot recommend highly enough.
