Good level of care until you leave.

Rehabilitation

(My parents) care had been good until they were waiting to leave, they were taken out of room and put in a room which they reckoned resembled a store room. Considering they had just had a hip op they have been left in a wheelchair for 4 hrs, they're cold and bored and their hip is working. Food also left a lot to be desired, they commented numerous times how awful food was and how hungry they were....we've had to take in crisps and cakes to fill them up.

My mum's been in Bluebird for 2 weeks and has been treated with respect and kindness. Despite a strike happening whilst there, the staff have managed very well.

I stayed at Bluebird Lodge following an operation but the care plan wasn't really followed and 6/7 days after arriving virtually no physio had been done so i decided to go home.

Lack of personal care. No rehab provided for stroke patients. Lift broken so unable to go outside in wheelchair.

difficult assessment process

Occupational therapy.

Originally occupational therapy were assessing at Bluebird Lodge rather than in patients own homes which was problematic when brand new wet rooms were required. They did agree to visit homes to enable a better assessment to take place

I have only praise for the physiotherapist who has been working with my daughter. She has given her self confidence back and also worked with her to get her mobility back. The physio has been patient and kind. I can't thank her enough. All the staff at Blue Bird Lodge were friendly and helpful. It has a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere.
