End of life care lacking

The end of life care at the hospital was not great during the pandemic, I'm not sure what would've happened if we hadn't been there to support mum. I did ask about having her transferred to the hospice but initially I got no response from staff and then when they did come back to me when I asked again they told us it was too late for her to be moved. Knowing what hospice care is like I would've preferred mum to be moved. Staff were obviously stretched and couldn't provide the support they normally would, I'm just glad I was able to be there with mum for some of the time.
