Cannot afford £30 per month for Denplan
October 4, 2023
My whole family were NHS patients at this practice but then both myself and my husband were informed that our children could remain NHS patients but that the adults now had to pay for Denplan £30 per person per month if we wanted to stay a patient with them. We cannot afford that and on top of that if we need detal work done apparently there is a saving of 10% off regular private charges. It is such a shame as the kids treatment is fine and the care they give is excellent. I have an exemption certificate for dental care when I was under maternity care but I was unable to use it and it has now expired. I am genuinely worried about my teeth but what can I do? I cannot get them checked anywhere so no prevention. I am not in a position where I can pay for this, the situation is not ok.
Amazing service every time

I have been coming here regularly for the past 8 years and i have never had any issues. Every staff member is lovely and polite. They don't pressure you into spending money on treatments that aren't urgent.
Brilliant staff

What a great team the Framlingham Dental Practice is from the wonderful kind receptionists to the great Dentist and his nurse! Felt at ease and had great service for a toothache.
Selective in their patients, prefer private
September 3, 2021
We have been patients at this practice since 2008 and have always enjoyed a good service. Until 2018 that is when their 'NHS' dentist became their children's dentist and therefore lost to adults. A series of young dentists were simply not as careful or caring. However, during COVID, their lack of care and rudeness has been exacerbated. Not only will they not make me an appointment as they do not have an 'NHS' dentist, telling me if I am in pain (haven't seen the dentist in two years), take a picture of the tooth and they will triage remotely. I struggle to understand how a tooth can be treated remotely. Worst of all is their treatment of my husband, a lymphoma patient. Losing teeth through chemo, he had 4 or 5 left which were causing pain. As a vulnerable patient he needed special care and it was not forthcoming. He was left infected and in great pain. In addition, he waited a year for a dental plate which rather than improve his outlook has left him feeling uncomfortable as the plate has a gap in the front which looks distinctly wrong.
Appalling and not fit for service

My 6yo daughter had a dental emergency, but they wouldn't see her. They very rudely told me that she would have to just wait as they didn't have any staff. It's now over a year later, my kid is 7 now and they have given her an appointment for October. In the meantime she's been in pain and her broken tooth has decayed further. I tried other dentists in the area but no one would take on new child patients, so we've just been stuck waiting. Appalling service and completely unethical. They could have referred her elsewhere.
Awful service to NHS patients

The practice is selective to what type of patient they want to treat. Definitely not NHS. The Denplan arrangement offer very little and the costs are high. They have provided a poor service for years.
Cancelled children’s dental appointments
August 4, 2021
I want to make people aware of the dentist in Framlingham cancelling children’s routine appointments. My 3 children have now not seen a dentist in 2years as they were due an appointment in March 2020 but obviously could not attend at that point.
I have called throughout the last 6mths and only 2 mths ago was I able to make an appointment for this august 24th. Yesterday, I received the an email cancelling it as the children are not vaccinated.
As they are not even being offered vaccines yet, how can this happen? Surely we can do a lateral flow test before attending rather than cancelling altogether. I am a single parent on universal credit and cannot afford to take my children privately for dental care.
