Original feedback for

Framlingham Medical Centre Pharmacy

Refusal to give milk to newborn

They refused to give us milk for our newborn after we had already submitted the prescription, and they had it, so the GP would have signed it off. They said that they needed the babies weight and measurement that actual day. The baby was only 4 days old and they would not accept the details we had on birth. We only had 4 feeds left and they just flatly refused. I asked them to help us find a place we could buy it, and they did not. We went to the main Framlingham pharmacy and they helped us. We had to travel to Colchester and pay £20 for it. Framlingham pharmacy also flagged up that we had been charged VAT on it which is illegal! We now have the milk on repeat. How we were spoken to by the dispensary was outrageous and for us to go through that with a new born was so stressful. There needs to be better knowledge given to the facility to weigh your child if that what they need. We find it that it was not needed for any other purpose than to just track weight of the baby. It had no baring on what was needed that day.
