Mum's been well cared for

Since moving to the home following mums diagnosis she has been well cared for. Though the covid restrictions it was very difficult not seeing her but completely understandable. They are managing her behaviour well and she seems to be settling in now.
Excellent staff. Very helpful.

Received unfailing help in ensuring place at Hartismere for a 92 year old resident where financing arrangements meant switching from private to local authority funding. Initial concern was that a move to another care home would result. But a concerted response by the staff of Hartismere place, working in co-operation with Social Services allowed a conclusion to be reached that overcame what would have been a distressing experience for the resident

Mum had excellent care throughout her stay. The staff are kind, caring and always pleasant. My only criticism is that there isn't always someone available to let you in. I have waited up to 20 minutes to gain access which is rather annoying when time is limited by other commitments. Could a different system not be offered? I was once told that it was a "a waste of time ringing the reception bell as no one was there" Not the greeting I expected!
Relaxed and offers freedom

Really like living here. It's nice and relaxed and I have the freedom to do what I like. I like going out in the garden

I enjoyed how friendly staff are to me, I was always treated with respect. Always had plenty to eat and there is always a warming and welcoming feeling given by the home. The gardens are pretty and the home was designed well an all the staff have been so caring and helpful.
A caring and encouraging experience

All the staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. The physio team were very encouraging and gave praise when one accomplished a movement, always emphasising "you can- not I can't".

I have found the care both of day and night staff has been exemplary and I thank them for all their care. I thank everyone for their care here, from the time that I was admitted to the end of my stay. The food is of a very high standard - sometimes too good! Many thanks for everything.
Good care after hospital

I was taken here for a few days after being in hospital. When I was dropped off I was left for a while in a room with no one initially, which was a bit upsetting. However, the stay was really good. The food was lovely and all the staff who looked after me did their job really well. Thank you.

I loved staying here. Can't fault it. Brilliant service. Food is lovely, lots of choice, big portions. Staff are very kind. Always giving me fresh jugs of water.

We went to visit a friend who was convalescing at the home and we were greeted by friendly faces. The care provided was very good and they couldn't do enough for us and our friend. They prepared a lunch for us which was great.
