Best hopes of user and family carer always met
The availability of the services which were introduced to our community with the opening of the Hartismere Place Care Centre with associated Day Club has transformed the outlook of one whose chronic illness has for several years been managed by a family carer at home under hospital direction. Even during the running-in period of the new Care Home at the turn of the year, members of staff were welcoming, attentive and ready to accommodate time-consuming inquiries, as a result of the answers to which, there followed my attendance at the Club for assisted bathing, respite afternoon with lunch, and eventually visits to the Care Home's salon for hair setting . My family Carer has been as considerately treated as have I, and recently he greatly appreciated the opportunity to attend the seminar hosted by the Care Home, presenting to members of the wider community vital information provided by the Stroke Association. He and I have, in a period of some six months, the most favourable recollections of the people we have met at Hartismere Place, and, of course, the high standards of the facilities speak for themselves.
