More difficult to get appointments

We are finding it more difficult to get appointments. First appointment available today was 11am, when we got through at 8.15 am. We do onder how the system overall works. Are there some pre-booked ones that GP's are seeing first thing? - CDO explained the doctors call back people and manage their own patient appointments that day. There may be a percentage of appointments allocated to 'pre-booked', but the patient should enquire from the practice for details if at all concerned how the allocation works.
