It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Heart failure diagnosis

I was diagnosed with heart failure - there was no real information given to me at the time apart from "take these tablets". I only knew about heart failure through my mum so I was aware of the British Heart Foundation and requested some info from them. My initial diagnosis was over the phone, and I then had an appointment the following week to take my blood pressure and be prescribed my meds. It would have been useful to at least have been given a leaflet or something in that appointment. Otherwise I get good care here, good support from the Doctor. A lot of older people may just give up trying to get an appointment though as it's so difficult
