Difficult to get an appointment

I have been trying to get an appointment and it has been difficult. I feel a call from a GP is wasting time as I know I will need to be seen. I understand that others may not, but feel it would be better to educate people so they do not call in the first place thinking they need to see a GP, then those who do will get the appointments they need and GP's won't be wasting their time needing to make 'phone calls.
