Poor experience on Orwell.

I spent my stay on all 3 maternity wards. I was induced on Brook. The care I received here was really good and had a good experience there. I then went onto Deben to give birth and the majority of the time I received good care. My initial midwife was very good, however the midwife who took over in the morning wasn't very attentive and I was left for hours. She also inserted my catheter without using a sterile trolley and was rough when doing so. When I was moved to Orwell later that day I had a poor experience here. I wasn't informed of updated plans and again just left on the ward. I had to ask for help with breastfeeding assistance and was given about 5 minutes of help and just left to it. My baby didn't have her full check over until I brought it up and they were just initially going to leave me to stay over night, despite being told I would be going home once my baby had been checked and my blood results back. I was also not told my husband couldn't stay on the ward with me and he was instructed to leave abruptly and felt overwhelmed to have to care for my baby by myself. Again the next day I was just left for hours and had to constantly chase staff to find out what was happening.
