Had a baby here in Dec 23

Overall my experience was varied. The team that conducted all of my ultrasounds were amazing and left nothing to chance. The follow up team were also lovely but very busy and waiting times here were unpredictable. In the week leading up to my birthday I was in daily. I had some lovely and truly amazing midwives see me and some in which made me very uncomfortable. Basically telling me to go home and get on with it and not fully checking me (would have seen I was actually progressing quite a bit!!) I had my baby in the early hours and all the main entrances were locked!!! I couldn’t easily get to the right department having to be wheeled from the carpark over gravel in the dark (as that part to the only open door was not even lit!) I was very close to giving birth and having an ordeal trying to get to where I needed the help. It was actually quite traumatic and a massive worry. The lady that oversaw my birth was incredibly patient and soothing. Midwives after were mixed. Some forcing breastfeeding and being very hands on and not gentle. While others very patient and educational.
