Good discussion
Living in the north of Suffolk I was receiving my maternity care from Ipswich hospital as I had done with previous pregnancies. This time it was much better as I had one midwife throughout the labour and they covered everything about the induction really well and I felt well supported. After the birth though midwives from James Paget hospital came in and said that they would now be providing care, there was no discussion it was just what was happening. This meant that a community care after our discharge was through the James Paget community team who I'd never met and I never saw my community midwife from the other team again. It was a real shame and so different to my previous births and unnecessary. They said it was due to our address coming under Waveney. It was just added stress and concern.
