Labelled Hypochondria; no one listened to me
Over 2 months, I experienced several collapses at home, had paralysis on one side with high blood pressure. I was admitted to A&E on each occasion, subsequently referred to Endocrinology. On my medical notes I was labelled with Hypochondria. I was sent for two mental health assessments which were distressing, I had numerous blood tests etc. No one was listening me about how I was feeling. I researched my problems and realised that I had a significant mineral and nutritional deficiencies, these nutrients were passing through my body in my urine. I started to take minerals in particular potassium and proteins, feel so much better. This experience has made me scared of going back to the GP or hospital. I did make an official complaint to the hospital.
