Great treatment at A&E

My husband was taken to A&E by ambulance with a suspected stroke. He was taken straight in and staff kept us informed when things had calmed down. Staff were very good and he was taken to the emergency admissions unit quickly. Later in the day he was moved to a ward for 4 days. His speech was affected but physically he was ok. We were told that he would be referred for speech therapy but this never happened. Later in January this year when a muscular dystrophy nurse came out to visit she was shocked that he had not had any speech therapy so chased this for us. Since then after she prompted action, he has had weekly speech therapy sessions.
