Original feedback for

Ipswich Hospital (Part of the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust)

Diabolical treatment. v.poor communications

Lack of communications between staff at Ipswich hospital. Lack of staff to care for patients. One or two excellent nurses. Mainly agency staff, so no continuity of care. Left in toilet for 20 minutes - had to bang with stick on door. contracted novovirus while in. Lack of planning for discharge, despite relatives saying what was required. Left in side room and forgotten about for care and food. Moved to discharge ward (maternity ward). Care was dire. forced to walk 100 yards when could only manage 3-4 yards. Broke mental wellbeing with attitude (eg. you can mess yourself in bed or on the way to the toilet). Kidnapped by relatives after speaking to consultant's secretary.. Social services would not happen for another 2 weeks. Luckily the hospice stepped in. They were fantastic..
