Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Missed collapsed lung

I was hospitalised last year with on going issues but during my stay the x-rays did not pick up the fact that I had a collapsed lung. It was only later with a CT scan that it was identified. When I next saw the consultant they said that the new x-ray had shown improvement, but if they never saw it in the first x-ray how did this one show the improvement when it should've still been hidden by my heart.
