When you are ill you need help quickly
I started to become unwell while I was away on holiday, when I got home I was signposted to the pharmacy and they signposted me to the GP. At my surgery you get two chances to get an appointment 08.30 and 12.30, of course each time you ring you are in a queue, I phoned at 12.15 and at 12.20 I then got through and was told that I was 3 minutes early by the person on the end of the phone who I felt was rather rude which you really dont need when you are feeling unwell, I managed to get an appointment on the phone and they gave me some antibiotics, I was still unwell and after the course I phoned again this time the person on the phone was nicer and also this time I got a face to face with the doctor, they gave me 10 days of steroids. I'm still not 100 percent but getting there. The issue is you cannot choose who you want to see, you get who you are given and the attitude of the person on the phone makes a difference. I had to wait a whole week before they would give me a blood test.
