Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Delays to my cancer treatment

I saw a GP and got a referral straight away to the Dermatology dept. I was seen in 2 weeks. I had skin cancer on my face and was operated on at the end of last year. They then contacted me 8 months later for a further operation and said they should have seen me sooner, but I've had more removed. They didn't say why it had been delayed. My surgery now see me regularly to have things swabbed, so it is good that that is happening.
