X-ray dept don't answer the phone

We support our friend and he had a letter from the hospital to call the x-ray dept to get an appointment. We tried many times over 4 days. It just kept ringing and when you press '5' for a callback it says "there is not call back available". We went into our surgery and they tried 6 times to call but had no success, and they said the system is a shambles. We were advised to just go to to the hospital. So we traveled from the Beccles area and turned up at their department who stated that they don't take calls. - they come in elsewhere. But as we had traveled so far they offered us an x-ray there and then.
