Original feedback for

Livability Icanho

excellent support but not long enough

I was referred to Icanho Livability in 2019 as the result of having a brain tumour and then an operation for the tumour, I had 9 months support with them and they were very good and provided really positive support for me, One of the staff at Icanho recommended I contact F.E.S. (functional electrical stimulation) service in London and it was funded by the NHS so long as I funded my own transport costs, so I had 12 months of F.E.S. After the 9 months of Icanho I still needed more physio for my needs so I had to pay for private physio as unfortunately AHP physio did not understand that my disability means that I physically cannot do some of the things there were asking me to do. I use my PIP payments for my private physio. I go once a year for an MRI scan but nothing else is on offer for me and I still have significant needs. So I have now got to a point were I am talking seriously to the hospital consultant about my options to have an amputation.
