Very poor. I was asked to pay for treatment I did not need

October 16, 2017
I attended an appointment at 8.30 for a routine inspection. I was told that my x-ray showed that there was decay under one of my crowned teeth and shown an xray allegedly supported this. I was told that the crown needed to come off. The tooth underneath would need fixing and then I could have a silver metal crown for about £250 or the work done privately (gold crown) for £550. I have to pay at least 1/3 of the cost upfront. I went back to reception to book the private appointment and they told me and they told me I would have to pay 1/3 of the cost upfront. I decided to leave it and returned to the dentist who had fitted it 20 years previously. He examined me and the ex-ray and found NOTHING WRONG

I was becoming very upset with the NHS dentists in the Area as My 91 year old mother was suffering from raging toothache and I couldn't get her seen. I then rang the "My dentist" practice in Leiston who gave her an appointment the next day where she was seen and the problem sorted. They were all wonderful caring people, so helpful and re-assuring to my mother. Words cannot express how wonderful they all were and how grateful we were. Highly recommended
