Good experience

It was a good experience and even though I was worried the staff did a great job at keeping me calm and talking me through it. I knew what to expect and the results are really good. I'm now waiting for my other eye to be done.

I had my cataract done recently and found all the staff to be great. I was given lots of information and they were very reassuring. I was even shown a film to make sure I'd heard and understood everything that would happen.

Although I have not had my operation yet I feel that the pre op assessment was done really well, the staff were very reassuring and it was great that the appointment was also on a Saturday which was easier to get to as family could take me.

Everything has been explained very well and I have been given my appointment much quicker than any of the hospitals could offer as I'm being seen in 8 weeks which is really good.

I was referred by Specsavers to Newmedica, they saw me within 4 weeks, they did a pre op assessment where I had to sign consent papers and they explained what was going to happen, 2 weeks later I had the operation, it went very well it seemed to be straight forward to them no complications at all, they looked after me very well. I had my follow up appointment with Specsavers about 6 weeks later and I could see so much better. Communication between the two services was very good.

My opticians referred me to Newmedica earlier this year. The pre checks were very good and thorough, they said initialy that it was going to be a 10 week wait but it actually was less time. All of the Newmedica staff with whom I had contact with were very good, professional, polite and the surgeon was excellent and put me totally at ease. I felt like I was treated as a private patient.

Specsavers made a referral for a procedure on my eye, Newmedica came back to me within 4 days, I was invited for my pre op appointment then one month later I went back to Newmedica for the eye op. They were very adaptable with my appointment date too. The staff were very welcoming and the place was spotless, it all very extremely professional. The operation was over before I even thought it had really started. The immediate aftercare was lovely they gave me a cup of tea and sent me on my way and had a follow up the next day to check I was ok.
