Night Owls - Suffolk Mind

SNO have been an absolute lifeline to me over the years. I can honestly say that they have saved my life once. I have been a regular user for years and always been treated with kindness and compassion. They are all brilliantly trained and know exactly what to say. I have complex emotional needs and find it difficult to call anyone for help but not night owls. Whether I just need to offload my difficulties of the day or talk about more serious issues, I feel totally comfortable talking to any of them, even my darkest thought and secrets. I feel blessed to have had access to this service for many years, if I'm struggling in the daytime but not serious enough to call 111 I can log my thought and feeling and share then in the evening knowing I'll be listened to and validated which is key.

I am only still alive because of SNOs. They have supported me for over 3 1/2 years during which time I have had to deal with past trauma, relapse of my eating disorder and a decline in my mental health. SNOs have been a constant support in my life despite being unable to get any formal mental health services. Even now with the imminent closure the staff are extremely caring and are showing integrity as they are more concerned about how we will cope than their own welfare the staff team are amazing.

My daughter who goes into crisis does ring Night Owls, they are very good and understand the situation and my daughters does come off the call feeling a sense that she has been listened too and that they"get it" which is very important.

Suffolk Night Owls are the reason I am still alive 100%. They are an incredible team of people, they listen and hear you and validate you and never make you feel silly. They are very person centred and I feel they know me when I have been at my lowest moments and having them listen to me is important. The lady who predominantly oversees the service is A** to me. She helps me understand things about myself - I love them all !!
