Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Limited support

I have a terminal condition and the support available from any of the mental health services or support organisations is really limited. There was a very limited amount of support from the link worker at my surgery, I saw them once then nothing happened. Unfortuantely all mental health support for those with longer term terminal conditions are all short term and once you had support from them they basically discharge you and suggest trying another organisation. I've been through them all and so now I'm not eligible for any support it seems. There's no safety net to catch people who need more than the set number of sessions they each offer, whether it be Macmillan , the hospice or here from NSFT.
