Lack of care in Community

Only care for a schizophrenic who has had 3 hospital stays is provided by elderly relatives, who will soon need care themselves. Is it cost effective to have another remission with all distress caused and another hospital admission?? No Consultant appointments = Gone; No C.P.N = Gone; No visits from carers = Gone.
