Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Treatment based on BMI is failing patients

In order to receive treatment for anorexia you have to ensure that you have lost enough weight or services won’t listen to you. They brush you off like nothing matters, to the point where you feel like there is no point in trying to get better because they say you’re not ill enough. It disgusting that those with severe mental illnesses are treated based on their physical appearance. I’ve tried and tried to get help and been failed on many occasions
