Oakfield Surgery

Not a good experience

I had a very painful foot that meant at times I couldn’t even walk. Finally after 5 days I called the GP surgery. Instead of taking the time to see me they wanted a blood test. Two days later I received a blood test. However that very day the pain was so bad I called 111. They suggested I go to A&E. After a 4-5 hour wait I was diagnosed with an infected foot. Something a GP could have diagnosed very quickly had they taken the time to see me. Weeks later I haven’t heard from the Surgery about the blood tests nor have they contacted me about my A&E visit that I assume they’ve been informed of. In most areas the NHS has fallen apart with only A&E a reliable source of medical care. I assume their reasoning is available time. No wonder when doctors at this surgery seem to be on a part time rota.
