Hard of hearing challenges

When I get a call back, I have to have my telephone speaker on very loud to hear them. Being Hard of hearing, it brings challenges. When I go in and see someone face to face, that actually can be more challenging, but I have started bringing someone with me. It is is not ideal. I do not know sign language, as have not learnt it and as older person I am less able to learn it. Generally I get appointments reasonably quickly. Gaining a blood test appointment is much more of a wait, but it's like that everywhere and more convenient to come into the surgery than travel to the hospital.
