Refused a GP appointment

When I had a reaction to a change of medication that my GP had made, reception refused to give an appointment to me, saying I had to see a pharmacist. All they did was to recommend stopping the tablet and then to see the GP again. It took another month to get to see the GP. The message in the surgery says 'you will NEVER be refused a GP appointment'. Well that just is not true!
