I was beginning to feel very nervous about our future. Referred to focussed caring course, very useful.Loads of practical help and ideas. Car driving assessments can be carried out by Rospa and a firm called driveability.

We had a visit recently and they were incredibly helpful. They were excellent. They arranged for an OT to visit and this has made a big difference to our lives.

I contacted the service as I was advised they offered free courses on dementia awareness and also on support services offered etc. I am so glad I did because not only have I found the courses mentioned above as very very helpful, particularly at a time when I was all at sea and did not know where to turn for impartial advice and support. Not only were my needs addressed with regard to the family dementia sufferer but my needs and emotions as a carer were addressed something quite different to anywhere else I had turned. I recently attended a once a week eight week course on Wellness for the carer. It was absolutely brilliant and all free. It was in my mind indicative that the course had a 95% attendance throughout and when someone did not attend it was because of holiday or illness. This a 5 star service and I am so glad it exists.
