Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Tight criteria

Living in a rural area and being no longer able to drive has meant getting to and from appointments very difficult and costly. I am due to have an operation soon and although I am unable to drive as a result of my condition I am not eligible for transport to the hospital for the operation but I would be eligible to get home. Living so far from the hospital and needing to get to the hospital very early in the morning is making it very difficult to get there on time. I'm having to consider staying in a hotel overnight to ensure i can make it on time.
