Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Lack of specialist skill and choice

My concern about these services is that they assume all service users have the same generic 'care' needs - No options are given for people with complex neurological needs who benefit from trained specialist support not care. There appears to be a one-size-fits-all approach rather than genuine personalisation. This is disempowering and insulting to service users, who are by no means all the same.
