Support to Live at Home


Adult Social Care staff being diverted

Staff are being taken off routine assessments to assist with transfer to new care arrangements. That means my elder mother has been in a care home since mid July and still hasn't been assessed to formally state this is where she will reside permanently. That means her council flat tenancy can't be relinquished so a flat is sitting empty, housing benefit is being paid as well until staff can catch up on the growing backlog of routine assessments.
