Great experience if you can have one going to the dentist I got total concern from dentist and staff would totally recommend to any one looking for a dentist

First class treatment always. I feel very well looked after even though I have had extra problems owing to cancer drugs. My dentist is well qualified, vigilant, very proactive and effective. She had sorted out all my problems quickly, fitted me in on the same day in emergency. Her manner is warm and welcoming, she gives good advice, offers choices and cares about the results. She is also very gentle with a nervous patient!

I had to find another dentist as we were told that the dental surgery we were using no longer had a dentist for us. So we started going as I had a dental need and it seems to be a good dentist. The staff team all seem very nice.

Having had treatment at another practice which caused a problem they could not fix as the dentist left the day after my treatment, I contacted The Croft. I explained the problem to the receptionist who made an emergency appointment for me within 48 hours. The treatment was completed yesterday late afternoon. The lady dentist I saw was fantastic!! She explained what had gone wrong, how she could fix it and to my surprise said would you like me to do that now! Within 15 minutes she had completed the task and this morning I can eat again with no pain and obviously am now registered with this great practice. Thank you all for your excellent and professional service. So pleased I have found you.

I've been a patient with the Croft Dental Practice for 25 years, which provided an excellent service. However, it has now changed hands in October 2022, following the previous dentist's retirement.

On my annual visit in December, just to have scale removed, the new dentist was friendly but so physically rough that I was left feeling frightened and intimidated. When I said that I was not OK with the dentist's approach, this was ignored and I was left anxious at the idea of returning to the practice for future treatments. I was jabbed by the instruments, little care was taken, and it is the first time in 25 years that I felt battered by a treatment, for what should have been routine provision.

The more frightened I got, the more my mouth tensed up - and the dentist's response was to bark orders to stop being tense - which inevitably made me more tense. When I gagged at one point in the treatment, she elected to not bother proceeding, rather than find an alternative method. I was made to feel I was being difficult and uncooperative.

The whole tone of the practice has completely changed. You are now aware of being processed as an object as quickly as possible and if you ask any question, you get machine-gun fire responses, which doesn't help.

The practice invited me to phone them to discuss my care and my concerns - but so far have attempted to dismiss my comments. As it stands, I would not recommend this practice to people of a nervous disposition or those with young children. I have been left feeling afraid to return for future treatment, given the aggression of the physical care provision.

The practice, to date, appears unwilling to consider feedback that is anything other than glowingly complimentary and attempts to shutdown any expressions of reasonable concern. There is no sense, to date, that they genuinely want to listen and improve the care provision.

I would be happy to update this review, if I have something more positive to report about the new practitioner.

For someone who has a fear of dentists , my dentist made a huge effort to calm my nerves , even though I was sweating with nervs. Had plenty of injections,which eventually helped with the pain , after 50 long mins it was done . Thank you for being patient with me.

Staff are lovely and my dentist is exceptional, don’t feel a thing. They are quite old school, everything in books as opposed to online bookings etc but a lovely dentist surgery.

Often I find that dental services are too negative to you and how to resolve the issue. However, this was the exception; it was very positive

Improvement: just say what is good and how I should maintain my teeth
