Turning Point

My daughter had to wait weeks for a basic community detox which left her in a vulnerable position prior to detox and she was only able to complete it with committed parental intervention.
That said the input has not gained a relationship to help her on her continued journey and she relapsed the day her treatment finished.
I am left confused as to what we were waiting for. She was promised a robust clinical team support, she saw no one. She was promised psychiatric support afterwards, nothing transpired. I have had to push for further involvement as she is not able to make decisions. There is no thinking like an addict thinks, ie they are here now so let’s get on with it!
It’s hard as alcohol pushes people away.

Two calls, a letter regarding a follow up but no appointment. Not heard a thing since. No help at all

Lack of contact, say they want to help but then never hear from them!!! Useless

They helped me through my drug and alcohol recovery. I have realised there is a way through with Turning Point, my support worker is pretty awesome. 'Mood management' works well for me.

Tried to arrange an appointment when my support worker was available but they failed to confirm the date with her so she didn't attend the date and I then got told off for missing the appointment.

I was a drug user and now I am recovering with Turning Point. They are really helpful with my care
