No appointments available when I called

I called yesterday and would've liked to talk to someone to get an issue dealt with but was told nothing was available. It felt like reception staff were deciding who could be seen. I've called this morning and been given a face to face but feel I needed to be seen yesterday. I wasn't told what other options there were and where I could get help, just told to call back tomorrow.
