Unable to get all my medication together
February 22, 2024
I have several repeat medications but only half of them were ready. They tell me often that I hadnt ordered it but I know that I have, they never seem to get the order right. My daughter went in and sorted it out in the end, but I felt uncomfortable about it.
Very helpful and polite

I have been with Waterton many years and compared to many multi National operations they are always helpful and go the extra mile to help. Recently a friend of mine uses a medication which is now hard to source but they sorted out an alternative which works fine the prescriptions are nearly always on time even with the difficulties with supply chain since brexit. There is parking on site rather than pay car park charges and all the staff are pleasant and helpful and work as a team.
Poor communication

My teenage son has been prescribed medication for acne. The GP surgery (who share the same building) prescribed a cream but the pharmacy can't order it because it's out of stock. I have driven back and forth to the pharmacy waiting for the cream, but they failed to tell me it wasn't available on the first few visits. They did't tell the GP either, so the script was left unfilled. On a subsequent visit to try again, I had to go back and forth between the GP surgery and the pharmacy to tell one what the other said. Its been a month now, 8 wasted trips to the pharmacy and still no cream.
All that needs to happen is the GP needs to prescribe a different, available, cream and they need to talk to each other! Or just call me to tell me they can't fulfill the prescription. Another wasted trip this morning. I called the surgery to confirm a prescription had been sent to the pharmacy and this was done 6 days ago, I then arrive at the pharmacy to be told the surgery sent a prescription for the cream that can't be ordered again. But the pharmacy didn't tell me or them! Back to the surgery reception I went. I'm now home, with no cream and no idea when or if it will ever be available.

Not very helpful now. They used to be brilliant. Little consistency between staff members and it can take 5 days for a repeat prescription to be arranged.
