Very disappointing, feel let down & lied to

I have previously had an endoscopy at this unit under sedation and have very little recollection of this experience apart from gagging as the tube was removed at the end of the procedure. I fully understand that one does not loose consciousness but the sedation acts like a amnesiac. I have a phobia about things sticking in my throat (Childhood experience) and exhausted this to staff preforming this latest Gastroscopy yet the women chose to spray my throat and administer half the sedation. I did not want this but she said it was better. I recall the whole procedure which was horrific and has traumatised me I even recall staff discussing a previous patient with a similar name. I have still not recovered from this awful experience and I have blood shot eyes from gagging.
