Emergency admission following collapse
While sitting outside the AHT coffee shop at Kentford, I suddenly lost consciousness and the manageress dialled 999. I was admitted to A&E and spent about five hours with checks, blood tests and X-ray. Although I arrived at the same time as a cluster of ambulances and A&E was very busy, I received immediate attention pending a doctor's examination and received frequent checks from nurses to check my condition and to let me know what was happening. They calmly diffused an emotional situation and the nurses, doctor and consultant were absolutely brilliant
