Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Original feedback for

West Suffolk Hospital

turned away twice.

I brought my 1 year old grandson to A&E twice as he couldn't use his arm properly. Both times I was turned away without an X ray and told the problem was muscle development. The consultant diagnosed over the phone to the clinician in A&E. I took him to our Dr who insisted that an X ray was necessary and when this was carried out it became clear he had a broken arm.
