West Suffolk Hospital



Disappointed

Over many years my family and I have always been very pleased with the care we have had at West Suffolk Hospital but I have been disappointed with the dental surgery unit (or maxillo facial unit) over the last four months. It took seven weeks and many phone calls to both Ipswich Hospital and West Suffolk to ascertain my biopsy result. It appears there is only one outpatient clinic a week and when I was given an appointment to attend this after an emergency admission to A&E I saw Dr.(Name removed). It was an upsetting consultation as neither of us could understand the other, they didn't appear to have my notes or records, didn't know what operation I'd had or when it had been carried out, didn't bother to look at my still open wound from six weeks previously. It appears to be difficult to get through to anyone who can help, I have been given a number to ring when infections start and have tried to phone six times today and left three messages to no avail.
