Horrendous experience.

Aftercare treatment after surgery was not good at all. The operation went well but I got infected, when I went backin the staff refused to dress the wound and just kept placing more pads on top and said it was not their job as I was on a different ward to where I should have been. When the consultant came in 4 days later he immediately transferred me. He spent time squeezing puss out of the wound and I was on a pump for 6 weeks to try and sort it out. Eventually I had to have major surgery to remove all the infection. I then couldn't be stitched and hard to let it heal naturally. It was a truly horrendous experience and I never want to go back to that ward. A complaint letter was written. The response was negative and even contradicted itself. A follow up was written but I never heard anymore from the hospital.
