This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Lokking after my mother from 2010 - 2016

My mother was diagnosed with dementia around 2010. They prescribed one day at a day centre and visits by carers 3 times a day. I modified this program to 4 days at a day centre which was ideal for my mother as she liked to be active. ( I have photographs to show this). As a result, visits by carers was reduced from 21 visits to 11 visits. No visits at the weekend as I took mother out frequently. I took her shopping on Saturdays and then to a café. She went to church on Sundays and took her to play carpet bowling on Monday and Wednesdays. When she needed to go to a home she only lasted 6 months because she was not kept active as before.
