Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Original feedback for

West Suffolk Hospital

Labour suite

During labour didn’t see much of the midwife only every hour, could hear the midwives/other staff outside gossiping and laughing about some other trainee midwife. Asked for epidural had to wait an agonising 4 hours to get it after 6 hours of labour. Not given any support or things to try in the meantime. A very lonely awful experience compared to birth I’ve had elsewhere.
