Communication very poor

This is in regard to my adult daughter's admission. The quality of staff communication (with us and between departments) was very poor. We had to keep asking questions at every ward/unit. Her discharge was haphazard with no mental health care plan provided, only a copy of the discharge letter. The drugs for her discharge were delayed due to a Saturday discharge and the hours that the pharmacy operates.

Cancer services have been good.

Very happy with the support provided at the hospital for cancer services.The car park charges are very expensive especially when you have to visit regularly

Very quick, very professional.

We got a disabled car parking space very easily but it was a bit of an uphill push. We attended for a GP arranged 'drop in' x ray appointment. We were straight in and out with no delay. Very quick, very professional.

giving me an infection that i had not gone in

Was blue lighted into hospital due to a suspect bleed on the brain, (fortunately was not) but after all test including a lumber puncture was discharged only to find that when I had a pre assessment for an operation a couple of days later tested positive for MRSA which I was not when I had been admitted.

We are delighted to hear that your prognosis was not a bleed on the brain but sorry to hear of your positive MRSA result when you came into the hospital for your pre-assessment appointment.

We take all precautions to prevent the spread of MRSA in the hospital by making sure that all healthcare workers carry out hand hygiene between caring for different patients, and wear disposable gloves and aprons for direct patient care.

All patients are screened for MRSA and again, we are sorry to hear that you tested positive when you were re-screened. As should have been explained to you, if MRSA is detected then staff will advise patients of the treatment plan and will also re-screen following the treatment.

Carriage of MRSA does not mean that you have an infection, however if an infection is identified then it requires treatment with antibiotics.

I attended X ray as a 'walk in' with a referral from my doctor. I was seen pretty well straight away. I had the x ray and a blood test (previously described) and I was out of the car park in under an hour-remarkable!

I attended as a 'walk in' for a blood test and it went like a dream. quick book in-seen pretty quickly, dealt with professionally and out again.

Everything has been great

I have been in here for 4 weeks now and everything has been great-they are brilliant and so hard working. I was collected from my GP surgery by a paramedic and taken straight to Papworth where I had heart surgery and all was well until I contracted an infection-hence my stay. I have another two weeks to go and I am sure that everything will continue to be exemplary.

X ray dept. is air conditioned!!

I've been in for a few days and they do try to help as much as they can-they do seem to think that we know much more about what is going on than we actually do. It is pretty warm in here but trips to X ray are good because they have air conditioning! Food is pretty good.

This is my 4th or 5th stay in here and it is always cardiac related. They are generally very good indeed. I have scored the food fairly low as my breakfast (which has been my only meal so far) wasn't what I wanted. Food has always been ok in previous stays though.
