Right to Respond

Healthwatch is committed to providing a transparent and honest view of health and social care services. This is your opportunity as the health or social care provider to have your say on comments the public have left. It is designed to be constructive and allow both sides to have a fair and equal say in the matter so please:

  • Keep the language and tone civil
  • Don't mention personal details
  • Make it relevant to the review

Remember, your response will be seen by everyone who reads your organisation's comments, not just the original reviewer. Your reply is a good opportunity to acknowledge any comments received.

Original feedback for

Woodlands (Ipswich Hospital)

Service is out of touch

The service is completely disorganised. I did not speak to the same person twice and nobody pass on information to colleagues. Could never contact a named person on the phone. Visits (usually on a sunday afternoon) were no better than my aunt coming for tea. Ideas given to help my suicidal daughter were downright patronising and unhelpful. It took two weeks to organise the initial 'emergency' appointment. Nobody seemed to actually care or have any professional knowledge. The consultant was impossible for my distraught daughter to understand and we needed an interpreter (not given!). This was the worst experience that I have experienced that I have ever experienced with the NHS.
