My 81 year old father asked me to take him to see a Dr , I initially tried calling but the wait was too long so I suggested we went in person to the surgery Upon arrival the reception was very standoffish and told me to either call or econsult, I explained that my father was here and virtually deaf and would it be possible to see a Dr, I was told they are short staffed , she then started to complete a form which would result in a call back within 48 hours, as a rule this would not be a problem however on this occasion my father has a UTI which had affected him badly , There was No duty of care to my elderly father , I left very disappointed that I would have to take him to ED for what should have been simple antibiotics,
