They do a good job

June 21, 2019
The first time I got tablets but I was still unwell. The second time I went, i was given medication that worked really well. The doctor explained treatment to me so I understood. Sometimes the doctor hurries to see the next patient, but do a good job. I asked questions so I got explanations. I don't want to take tablets all the time so I want to understand my treatment.

Can really discuss issues

May 13, 2019
Its ok to get appointments and I'm happy to see any one of the GPs if my own is not available. I can have a real discussion with my doctor whihc is good when raising issues.

My doctor was my pillar of hope.

I have had a very difficult time through out managing my mental health issues and my own health conditions. It would take more than just words to express how caring understanding ,patient and unconditional time my doctor took the time towards my healing process.Dr (***) helped me through out and I would not have been here.I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Dr (***) who was instrumental towards my care. Not forgetting Dr (***) who took time to help out of his work hours attending to my late ex husband. The whole team at Barracks Lane credits to the reception who is always on hand to help with appointments, prescription no matter how busy they are.I with both hands thank you kindly for your kindness time you took for me.

Fair. Some miscommunication but staff very helpful.

Staff very helpful. Information given from GP and pharmacy contradicted each other. Issue resolved after a few hours.

Lack of communications

The surgery will not give an elderly lady incontinence pads. She was told she needs full assessment at hospital but does not know if she has had a referral as English is not her first language. It has caused to rarely go out as she is limited by how many she can buy on a limited income

Excellent

I am housebound. I had a terrible chesty cough and called the surgery about 11 am. A nurse practitioner came out to see by 3 pm. She prescribed me antibiotics and asked if I would be able to get someone to get them. I could not by the end of that day but would be able to in the morning. She was keen for me to start them that day so she went herself o the Two Rivers pharmacy and got the prescription. This is beyond what I expect and I am very grateful that the staff at this surgery are so kind as I know they are very busy.
