terrible

repeat prescriptions no longer dispensed in Bures, so there are delays getting medication, the queues are ridiculous. Absolutely awful, needs to be changed back to old system.

Crazy

December 28, 2022
Trying to get antibiotics in medicine form. On hold for 15 minutes. To be asked where has stock? Didn't know I had to ring pharmacy to find out before I called the doctors. 3rd call found some in stock called back to docs another 15 minutes on hold. Surely in this day an age the pharmacies and doctors could have an email update of the current stocks. I appreciate this is an unusual situation. The pharmacist are mad busy without answering additional calls and the wait times at the docs are going to be increased as a result. Seems an awful lost of wasted time on professionals and me as a parent. Spent nearly 45 mins trying to get this sorted when it just feels like communication between the doctors and chemists could resolve all of this!.

I have contacted in person, by phone and by email, always response has been helpful and quick, especially when I had issues over timing of collecting prescription from a local chemist.

I have used the online service recently - excellent service

October 19, 2021
This service is so good
The response is excellent and really puts my mind at rest
I feel by using this service I am not worrying the receptionists when they are so busy

calling in on the telephone is a joke.

tried calling from 8am to get a call back from Doctor, it took until 9am to even get in the queue, I was an hour to be answered only to be told I should have called at 8am and so too late to get a call back.... Are you serious?

Finally being listened to.

Doctors are brilliant. Both listened to me rather than brushing my symptoms off as depression. Dr. XXXX really has got to the route of my issues. Dr. XXXX also gave a comprehensive explanation of what was discovered. Thank you to each of you.

Poor reception service excellent nursing care

October 2, 2020
On arrival I was asked to wait, as I was 10 minutes early, which was understandable. However, I was then left outside (I had walked, so had no car to wait in) for 15 minutes after this time. During this time on the rain, 3 members of staff saw me. 1 acknowledged me and told me their colleague would be with me shortly. Eventually, when my appointment was 15 minutes overdue I asked a member of staff how much longer I had to wait. She seemed oblivious to the fact that I had been waiting despite seeing me earlier. Eventually, I was let in, saw the nurse and left. I resent being spoken to in in a rude manner for example when asked to give my name I was addressed with 'name'. These people are the face of the NHS, and are creating a poor experience before even getting through the door.

Doctors great, reception staff awful

September 11, 2020
Having held for 20 minutes in the queue, I got through, before I opened my mouth she said I must put you on hold, and 5 minutes later I was cut off. This has happened on at least 3 occasions! The reception staff are also rude and abrupt! They desperately need some proper training, abysmal!!!

Treatment for Cystitis

July 18, 2020
I have had Cystitis many times. I have always been given antibiotics. I have had it 3 times in the last 3 months and I have always said it comes on 24 hours after sexual intercourse. Not once have I been given any advice. Recently someone suggested Durex Play, this has been completely successful as it was friction during sex which was the problem. When I once said that to a doctor they dismissed the idea. The doctors assumption seems to be that it is a hygiene issue. I hope this will change and all cystitis suffers will now be advised to use lubricant.
